Carbon fiber is both a strong and lightweight material, and the Karbonz series is therefore a combination of the best properties from metal and wood, which are respectively strong and light. The double pointed needles from Karbonz are therefore very strong and do not weigh much. They also have a very smooth and soft surface, which provides a good knitting experience.
