violet and discreet earth nuances
attractive flavors that finish abruptly on the palate
The 2001 Barolo Sarmassa (magnum) flows onto the palate with crushed rose petals
This is a classic Brunello from an iconic vintage
Francois Bertheau, Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru other_regions_australia violet and discreet earth nuances(a 1 ha blend of Groseilles, Baudes, Noirots and Gruenchers). This is aromatically more elegant and a bit cooler as well though it is still notably ripe with its array of essence of red cherry, pomegranate and a nicely broad range of spice elements. There is adequate vibrancy to the attractively textured medium bodied flavors that terminate in a sappy if slightly austere finish that exude a touch of acidulated cherry bon bons. Fine quality here.
