Beam and originally distilled at Seagram's Four Roses Distillery before production moved to Buffalo Trace in 1992. It uses Buffalo Trace's flagship Mash Bill #1, the same recipe behind Buffalo Trace itself, Benchmark, and E. H. Taylor, aged a minimum of 10 years in new charred oak. One genuinely interesting historical detail: Eagle Rare was originally bottled at a stronger 101 proof and originally
