Haikudikter IX Bäckström Sommarpop is now available inHaiku poem taken from Tomas Transtrmer's Den stora gtan , commissioned for Stockholm's Student Singers' 100th anniversary in 2005. For six part male choir, with some divisions. For advanced choir, the parts are singable but require large ranges. The work contains great shifts in expression, from stripped down simplicity to dramatic drive, and is characterized by a great sensitivity to Tomas Transtrmer's text.
